The FTP integration of Lucy Portal with on-premise accounting packages provides an efficient solution for accountants to receive client documents, even when these packages are not available online.
Through this integration, documents that clients submit in Lucy Portal are automatically uploaded to an FTPS server and organized in a structured folder hierarchy.
Technical Process Steps
- Set up Access:
- Accountants provide the FTPS credentials:
- Hostname: e.g., server.accountantGhent.be
- Port: 21 or other
- Username
- Password
- Accountants provide the FTPS credentials:
- Create Folder Structure
- The integration automatically creates a clear folder structure:
- Main folder per VAT number
- Subfolders:
- Purchase
- Purchase CN
- Sales
- Sales CN
- Tickets
- Other

Accounting System Settings
- The accounting package must be configured to retrieve files from the specific folder locations.
Support and Management
- Onboarding: Lucy provides guidance for the integration configuration, including a clear explanation of the folder structure.
Setup
- Go to Integrations in the Lucy Portal
- Click on 1) FTP
- Click on 2) Connect
- Enter the server details you received from the accountant or IT partner and click on Connect
- Choose a name for each folder per document type. These folders will be created for each client that is connected to FTPS. Click on Confirm.
- The FTP server is connected to Lucy and the status turns green.
- You can now configure FTP as an integration at the client level:
- Open the client
- Select Integrations
- Choose FTP
- You can choose a folder name for this client. If you leave this empty, the client's VAT number will be used as the folder name.
- Turn off the UBL switch
- Ignore Adsolut (leave this disabled)
